Description
Did you know that the Museum Brandhorst owns not only a large number of works by Andy Warhol, but also holds an extensive collection of photographs, which was substantially expanded by the donation of The Eva Felten Photography Collection?
In this session, Verena Hägler presents works from the current exhibitions that particularly inspire her—above all, the installation You Are the Weather (1994–96) by Roni Horn. She discusses which aspects are especially important to her as a photographer, which ones she finds interesting from the perspective of the history of photography, and how very different aspects of photography can be communicated to visitors through workshops.
Verena Hägler is a photographer, art educator, and research associate at Museum Brandhorst in the Department of Education & Mediation. She is able to draw on this wide range of experience again and again in her work for the museum.
