Description

Do you know Felix the Cat? No? Then stop by the exhibition and find the black-and-white cat. In this workshop, we’ll transform ourselves into cats. Happy, angry, or sad—anything goes. With masks, costumes, and makeup, you’ll become a cartoon cat. Like a living emoji on four paws! You can take a photo in front of the green screen and digitally alter your image. Artificial intelligence makes it even crazier!

Finally, we’ll do some crafting: we’ll print out your cat character. With paper, pencils, and scissors, you can create your own world for your cat character. Maybe you’ll even create a comic strip! Join us and show us your cat soul!

The workshop will take place in the ticket-free area of the Factory space (lower level) and is run by the artist Rupert Jörg. He studied media art and education at the Academies of Fine Arts in Munich and Vienna. In his artistic work, Rupert Jörg examines media changes and analyzes their effect on social structures. His work in art education is thus considered media-critical, with a focus on the mechanisms of influenceability and the question of how these effects are achieved.
