Description
SUPERME
What makes you strong? And what does it mean to take yourself seriously?
In the exhibition “Confrontations,” you will encounter two works of art by Arthur Jafa and Rosemarie Trockel that appear very different at first glance. Yet both show in their own way how strength can arise—by taking up a place or a role.
The workshop is about you and your strengths. Together, we will find out how they combine to become a superpower. Indeed, often a “disadvantage” is just a different perspective – and everyone has special strengths. You will be inspired by well-known superheroes and create your own characters using drawings, pictures, and colors. Perhaps, like Arthur Jafa, you will slip into the role of a famous hero and take on their characteristics. Or maybe you will invent a character that doesn’t exist yet?
The workshop will take place in the ticket-free area in the Factory room (lower level) and is run by Lee Muller. After studying Art History (B.A.) and Classical Archaeology (M.A.) in Berlin, she initially worked as an archaeologist. Today she works as a freelance art educator in various cultural institutions in Munich.
